We announced the public release of a new article detailing our exciting "Expo ONIGIRI" project, dubbed "ONIGIRI WOW!", set to be a highlight at the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. This initiative aims to share the rich culture of Japanese rice by featuring onigiri made with rice cooked in Zojirushi's top-of-the-line "Embudaki" rice cooker.
The "ONIGIRI WOW!" project emphasizes a unique approach of "co-creation," collaborating with individuals and communities both within Japan and internationally to discover and incorporate diverse ingredients for truly unique onigiri. Zojirushi's vision is to showcase the incredible versatility of rice when paired with various global flavors.
The article highlights key collaborations, including partnerships with local communities such as Awaji Island to develop onigiri using regional specialties, and engagement with students to create "onigiri of the world."
