You may be concerned of how to care for your My Bottle, but daily care is very simple.
The bottle can be kept clean, even when there are persistent stains, by using some bleach once a month.
1. Rinse with water
Rinsing with water as soon as possible when it is empty will prevent any smell from lingering as well as staining.
2. Disassemble the stopper and gasket
Stoppers and gaskets are areas where dirt tends to accumulate. Zojirushi bottles are easy to disassemble.
3. Wash with detergent
Wash the main body of the bottle and its various parts with a sponge while applying some neutral kitchen detergent. A brush or sponge for bottles is useful for cleaning the inside of the bottle.
4. Dry thoroughly
After washing, dry the bottle with the opening facing down. Bottle-drying sticks that speed up drying are also popular.
Special care once a month!
For persistent tea stains and smells, using some bleach once a month is effective.
Add some oxygenic bleach to the bottle or part that is filled with lukewarm water and leave it unattended for a while. This will remove both stains and smells.
For persistent stains, we recommend “Pika Bottle,” a cleaning agent specially designed for stainless steel bottles. It is available at stainless steel bottle corners in supermarkets, etc.
